Downloading and installing the latest version of Visual Studio Code on Windows is simple.
Step 1: First, open your web browser (eg Chrome, Firefox or Edge). Next, search for ‘Visual Studio code’ or ‘vs code’ on Google search engine and press Enter key. Then you click on the result with the address code.visualstudio.com as shown below. You will be redirected to the official Visual Studio code website.”
Step 2: Here you can directly click here to download Windows or you can click the arrow and choose to download for Linux or Mac. Since I use Windows, I will just click on the following to download for Windows.exe
Step 3: Once the download is complete, I will now double click on it to install.
Step 4: I accept the agreement that Visual Studio Code is owned by Microsoft as open source so I will check the agreement and click Next.
Step 5: At this step Visual Studio Code will be installed in the following location, I’m fine if you want to change the location from here by clicking browse and choosing another location you desire (it will only take 353 MB). Then you click Next.
Step 6: Let’s create an icon on the desktop or you can also skip it. Then click Next, click Install , now it will install.
The installation is complete, now click Finish then return to the main screen and choose to open Visual Studio Code
